Did you know the Texas state tree is the pecan?

Made with roasted pecans and enhanced with a bit of bitter orange peel, this handcrafted syrup can be used to give your cocktails a Texas twist. The syrup adds a bit of praline flavor to your food or drink. This is the perfect syrup for bourbon or rum based cocktails or even, on top of pancakes or ice cream.

Keep refrigerated for best flavor and to extent shelf life.

The Pecan Toddy

2 oz fresh apple cider
1/2 oz #aka_mixology_pecan_orgeat
Lemon wedge for serving

*Best served with 2 oz of bourbon or rye.

In microwavable mug, add cider and orgeat. Heat on medium low until warm. Stir in bourbon. Add a squeeze of lemon before enjoying.

Geraldine's Far From the Tree Cocktail, 2016 Official Drink of Austin Winner (slightly modified from original recipe)
3/4 oz fresh pressed apple juice
1/2 oz a.k.a pecan orgeat
1/2 oz orange liquor
1/2 oz a.k.a clarified lemon juice
3 drops a.k.a saline. 
Garnish: Slice of tart apple
-Directions: Place all ingredients in cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain into chilled glass. Garnish with slice of apple
*Best served with 1.0 oz of your favorite white rum and 1.0 oz aged rum.
